Riverside South is a growing community in Ottawa, with new neighbours, businesses, parks, and amenities joining the area all the time. As the neighbourhood continues to grow and change, it is important the the City continue investing in the community.

I helped advance plans for the first library branch for the ward, that is currently being designed and will be built near Limebank Station in the town centre.

I returned to Council in 2022 to deliver the ward's first major recreation complex, now we are closer than ever to this facility becoming a reality. It will feature a swimming pool, hockey rinks, sports fields, and other important recreational amenities.

The City continues to invest in keeping our local streets safer through temporary and permanent traffic calming measures. I will continue to support investments in road safety for local families and students.

I supported the hiring of over 200 additional police officers for enhanced police enforcement and community safety. At the same time, I supported the development of a new South District Police Station near Riverside South that will anchor the new South District.

I supported the City's plan to expand the Bowesville Station Park and Ride, on an accelerated timeframe. The station sees great usage by students and commuters and the City plans to double the amount of parking spots.

Over the past four years, four more local schools have opened, including the Riverside South Secondary School (pictured here). There are three more schools that the City is fast-tracking through the planning process, to bring education options closer to home for residents.

As our community continues to grow, I will support the development of new parks to serve the community. Currently, construction crews are putting the finishing touches on both Moncion's Park and Rhythm Park which will open soon!

I will continue to advocate for new and upgraded transportation infrastructure and expanded transit investments to improve mobility.

I will continue supporting responsible budgets that keep property taxes low, while finding efficiencies. Over the last four years, the City has identified over $250 million in savings.
